Gaol Piece, 1994

A piece using Old Melbourne Gaol as a musical instrument. My “Playing the Building” piece is built on the same mechanics, exploring the sonic properties of a building, even if incomparably simpler in realisation (a series of my own solos rather than 104 participants in Gaol Piece) and lighter in subject matter (history of the Gaol vs artistic experimentation in COVID-lockdown).
