But of course a sweaty t-shirt stretched onto the frame becomes a painting.

While it may be an answer to what to do with my overswelling wardrobe, it primarily interests me as yet another witty utilisation of affordance in a readymade. Things become art when they are framed as art – whether literally or metaphorically, and it is twice as fun when it’s both at once. Many of my explorations relate to noticing things in the world and then looking for appropriate ways to frame them as art – e.g. by attaching gallery labels to them as I did in “I Made This”-project. Many of my works are also made by me in more hands-on manner and then tested in different settings – should I frame it as an object? Or as a photograph? Or as a video where I interact with the object? Or as a narration of what he object was like? Or…? Framing is the core artistic activity.
