Yeah, those psychoanalytically-minded could certainly find a number of ways to interpret my interest for this kind of work in terms of possible childhood traumas or libidinal issues. I don’t care about any of that.
What I care about is continued consideration of the frame. How it can be broken or how it can occupy threedimensional space in unusually intricate ways. Also what a scale can do for perception and aesthetic experience. Frame reframed. I am trying to reframe my frames as well, all the time – although in a more metaphorical sense for the time being. But who knows what happens once I regain access to the wood workshop…
