Jeweller travels around the Netherlands and Belgium, photographing businesses trading under the name of “Pearl” (camping, fish monger, parking etc) along the way and presenting the route as a pearl necklace with an accompanying postcard concertina depicting the businesses.

Conceptual so it hurts. And warms my conceptual heart.

I am interested in the concept of “adornment” and am in the process of ideation and material collection of various adornment practices and strategies in different context and media, looking for similarities and differences. This is a beautiful example of an unexpected pattern emerging in comparison of very different phenomena in very different scale and modes of representation.
