Help is On the Way, 2019
A witty conceptual piece.
What kind of help? What does it imply that this message is lit – all the time? Which questions does it answer, which questions does it ask?
How come that I immediately discount the statement as untrue and displaced, and yet savour it as meaningful and conveying or triggering something that I find appealing and witty even if I decisively avoid to articulate exactly what it is, only enjoying a blurry direction of the thought… yes, in my experience thoughts are thoughts even without verbalisation or very specific articulation otherwise…
Relation to my practice here would be in my interest to present this kind of objects (in most generic sense – not implying sculpture or text or installation in particular) that can short-circuit the viewer’s thinking patterns for a second in order to trigger thought movement in a new and unexpected direction.
