On the Origins of Art I-II, 2016
Tracing origins of art to mating dance of milimeter-sized spiders…
I love it… it is very artsy (by the spiders as well as by Maria Fernanda) and thought-provoking and has vibration in the flooring allowing audience to feel the tiny dance steps of the microscopic spiders with all of their bodies… awe…
Relevance-wise, I guess it would be in terms of further widening my perspective on where art can be found (does not need to involve humans) and how video work can be augmented with other sensorial material (vibration) – I am quite interested in engaging multiple senses in my work.
